FurWars Journal II

Spending the time at the gym now worked good to prove that he had recovered completely. Several days had passed since the incident with the gator demon and Famine was already lifting weights with two fingers. He smirked and after ending his third sequence of one thousand pushes he let the heavy pieces of metal and cleaned his face smiling. He had the Gym closed since he was with his humanoid form.
The previous days he had seen two interesting battles, first, Rick managed to defeat the wonderlanders of Marco what was absolutely outstanding. Besides that, Marco had proven to have perfect control over those creatures what made it easy for him to pick him as one of the guys he wanted in the army when time comes. Rick was strong too and he’d make a great cut there also. Then again, they fought in an ambient that was totally adverse but had an advantage. Both had usage of water and both could have used it to locate the other.
“Gosh… though decisions to make” smiled Famine as he noticed his t-shirt and shirt well folded on a side “I’ll need a shower or I’ll start to stink.”
The door banged and the horseman yipped changing in an instant into his furry form of a raccoon with horns.
“Wait a bit I’m naked!” lied Famine.
“Wouldn’t mind to take a peek” laughed the voice of Theran and the horseman smiled opening the door.
“Sorry I lied” laughed the horseman as the lion entered.
“Nah! S’ok” smiled Theran as he took his armor off and started to lift some weights.
“Annoyed?” leaned his head Famine.
“Nope” said the lion but his sulking disguised in wish for exersice didn’t lied to the horseman.
“Is it the fact you lost? Or the fact you lost against a female?” grinned Famine “Look, I’ve been beaten by females too… specially my sister War.”
“I know… it’s just that… well y’know, I kind of thought you brought us here to win and I failed…”
“Hahaha is that so?” smiled Famine sitting by Theran’s side “Look, I summoned all of you here because I knew you’d make a great reference being amazing warriors!”
“Does that includes the yellow plushie thing?” asked the lion.
“Coshi?” leaned his head Famine “Well, let’s just say that enemies come in different forms and if you think something is weak because it looks cute, then that means you’ll go down.”
“Does that applies with you too?” asked Theran looking at Famine grinning.
“You think I’m cute?” smiled Famine laughed “You still don’t know me quite well.”
“So you’re going to send me back home since I lost?” asked Theran.
“You saw that gator, remember?” smiled the horseman “What if another one comes?”
“Oh!! I got your point” smirked Theran “Fine, more free food anyways!”
Famine looked at the lion exercising and he decided he could continue working. Maybe some punches at the punching bag that was there might help him relax. He walked to it and started punching without any might at it trying not to destroy it. It’d be the sixth he owed to Draco if he did. Slowly the rhythm of attacking increased as he remembered Theran’s battle. It had been amazing, he managed to squeeze his way out of most lightings at difference of PDU, but in the end, even after using his final attack on a paralyzed robo-dino, PDU’s missiles wore the warrior out and caused his defeat. He never expected Theran would be fighting a technological being. At least, that battle wasn’t in the robo-city, that would have been even worse. But nevertheless, Theran seemed more annoyed for having failed the horseman than for having lost. And then the raccoonish being smirked.
“Hey stud… wanna have a sparring?” asked Famine holding the punching bag.
“Sure, why not coon-face?” smiled Theran leaving the weights where they were before and taking his armor suiting up again. Famine smirked looking at that and dressed too walking out of the Gym.
“We fight at the arena ok?” smiled Famine as he walked to the area. Intentionally he swung his hips while walking to tease on the lion “But to make things more interesting… why don’t we make a bet?”
“Sure! Sounds interesting but I don’t have any gold here” laughed Theran.
“I wasn’t thinking on money” grinned Famine “If I win, well, there’s normally a rule with us four that anyone battling us will die if loses to us...”
“WHAT?!” shouted Theran surprised.
“Don’t you worry, If I win I won’t apply that rule and also you’ll have to whip out that sad look on yours” said Famine and Theran doubted by a second.
“And what if I win?” asked the lion.
“Well, if you win, I’ll make the battles move one day and I’ll take you on a hang out, I’ll pay anything you can eat and I’ll let you have fun wherever you want!” said Famine and then he smirked “Maybe some more fun at night rather than during the day.”
“Huh?” arched an eyebrow Theran “What you mean coon-face?”
Famine chuckled at that and finally they reached the door of the arena. Famine smiled. He ordered the computer to open it and walked inside once the machine accepted the command. For the moment the stadium was empty. Draco had let the day off to the fighters since the battle would start at the morning next day. Minoru vs Mindblade, another worth to see battle.
Famine stepped in the arena and Theran followed him closely. With another command, the virtual arena started to change and snow filtered all around them.

“I’m making this a battle that will be worth fighting my friend” smiled Famine “So, for that reason I’ll lower my own awareness in this blizzard.” The lion knew Famine was master of light and darkness… what he didn’t knew was that he was also master of fire and ice and snow. Nevertheless that would serve the propose since he had planned to be defeated to cheer the lion up.
“Well, this is… brrrrr! Chilling!” shivered Theran.
“Don’t worry it’ll be fine” chuckled Famine as he took position and his body became cloaked in his black and golden armor “You ready kitty?”
“Always!” nodded Theran as he rushed towards Famine swinging his axe towards him and sending a cloud of snow to the air as it slashed the ground.
Famine dodged easily the attack thinking that he had to put on a fight against the mighty warrior. He took the chance standing on the snow and kicking Theran on the chest following the attack by gripping his hair and tossing him to the air readying a fire ball tossing it at him, nevertheless the fire extinguished before it touches Theran’s fur. Of course! He used a spell for that one and Theran was immune to magic.
Using the impulse, Theran used his mighty leap crashing against Famine who ended up receiving the impact covering with one arm as the snow burst away allowing the ground of the Yakuza Garden being seen as the blizzard continued raging covering the spot quickly again.
“Nice try with that fire ball wizard” smiled Theran as he landed on the ground and Famine leaped back looking at him.
“I forgot that you’re immune to magic” chuckled Famine inside the armor “Don’t worry, next one won’t be magical.”
“I wouldn’t mind having a nice fair battle with you coon-face” grinned Theran jumping towards the horseman using his Left Hook sending Famine to a side against the bamboo fence making it crack.
“Aw damn… we’ll have to fix that later…” smiled Famine rubbing his side “Damn! Dude you really have a nice hook!”
“Hehe glad to have taken that compliment” smirked Theran happily.
“My turn…”
Famine rushed towards Theran and with a sudden rush of speed he disappeared moving to a side using his Oat of Balance making a scissor kick making Theran trip down to the snow but, at the same moment, the lion swung his axe smacking Famine’s helmet down sending him to the ground deeper than the snow was. The warrior stood up rolling to a side as Famine tried to pull out his head out of the snow.
“Ugh... damn it…” growled Famine when he managed to pull out.
But in that precise moment, Theran received him with another Axe Swing that smacked him to the wall. Famine snarled and stood up shaking his body. He rushed towards Theran and a black aura covered him startling for a second the lion, nevertheless, he smiled and prepared a Left Hook to receive Famine.
Both armored fighters clashed at high speed and Theran flew towards the opposite side while Famine kneeled on the snow with some crackling lightings surrounding his body causing small damage to him.
“Woah! What was that?!” shouted surprised Theran.
“That was my Shadow Rush” smirked Famine “It hurts me to use it but causes a nice deal of damage.
“Got t’remember to avoid it next time” smiled Theran standing up just like Famine.
Both rushed at the other smacking with punches, kicks and weapons. Famine started to summon his weapons slashing with swords, smacking with hammers and even  jumping to the roof to shoot some arrows as Theran dodged or broke the attacks blocking them or using the axe to destroy the arrows. The horseman smiled; the lion was strong indeed. Technology was the cause of his defeat of course… fortunately, that was a more even match since he wasn’t summoning proton cannons or Mega busters. Then again, he summoned some shurikens and threw them at Theran who was closing the gap between them. The warrior jumped dodging and managed to pull another mighty leap against Famine, but this time the horseman dodged rolling on the tiled roof and jumped down the arena again smiling and clenching his clawed fists. But by the time he turned around, Theran was holding his head.
“Ghh… N-NO!!!” growled Theran while his body began to shake.
“W-what’s going on?” asked to himself Famine.
“Y-you won’t… NO!!! it’s my battle!! Ahhh!!!!” the roar of Theran filled the area as he fought against an invisible force.
“T-Theran are you ok?” asked Famine. He knew what was going on…
“AHHHHHH!” with a final roar Theran’s arms fell to his sides and an instant later he smiled looking at Famine with a different look.
“Oh boy…” gave a step back Famine.
“GHAAAAA!” Thera rushed at Famine as his sharpened claws cut thru the snow.
Famine gulped at the moment since he knew it was time to fake the defeat… again. He murmured some words and the heavens changed as a beam of light fell on his hands and a huge golden mace appeared there. It was his own triumphant card. Judgment will deliver a fierce punch against Theran, he didn’t wanted to let him think he can be defeated easily. Theran ran towards him and Famine did the same swinging the mace fiercely against the lion that received as many attacks as he dodged. In the end Famine panted a bit after receiving the impact of those vicious claws. He knew that was another kind of spirit inside Theran, so he’d change his aura to calm him down. Both clashed again and Famine jumped high readying a mighty smash with the mace-like hammer but in the last second he changed the course so he could receive the slash that Theran sent towards him. The result came in an instant. Famine sent Judgment to the skies again with a beam of light that hit the lion as a soothing aura. The raccoon flew with no real harm to the wall. He crashed and slid to the snow as Theran calmed long enough to regain control and walked to him. By instinct, the horseman had summoned a small throwable hammer he was now hiding on his back; but when seeing Theran normal again smiling and offering his paw to stand up, the horseman made it disappear and extended his hand too.
“Guess you won” smiled Famine.
“Don’t be silly!” laughed Theran “I know you’re holding yourself not to attack… remember I’ve seen you fighting for real.”
“That wasn’t my real fighting either” smiled Famine “Anyways I call it my lose.”
“That means I get all I can eat on the account of coon-face!!” cheered Theran.
“Yeah, yeah, now help me fix this, ok?” smiled Theran making his armor disappear and change for winter clothes “I’ll fix the walls as you gather the pieces of that fence we broke, ok?”
“Yup!” nodded Theran walking to the snow where the pieces of bamboo were laying.
Famine fixed magically the walls and when Theran announced he was ready to fix the fence, he noticed Theran had it fixed with some rope and was smirking silly at him.
“Got it done before you!” laughed the kitty.
“Hahaha good kitty, but Draco will notice we fought if he sees it that way… though…” Famine smirked and snapping his fingers the Fence returned to his full previous form but in a glimpse, Theran noticed it changed to the way he left it.
“W-what was that?” asked the lion surprised.
“Ohh cute kitty” grinned Famine “I made a spell that would make it look complete, but is as you left it, so don’t touch it or the illusion will break, ok?”
“Sure!” nodded Theran as Famine ordered the computer to turn off the hologram.
Both walked to the door and Famine smiled telling Theran to get a nice night of sleep since it was late already and the next day all the fun was on his account.
